2010 May 28th-30th, a group 26 awesome members which formed by participants and ODA Committees was visited G.Liang East West and returned to KL safety. Thanks for the cooperation from every participants , and helping hand from all ODA supporters, and En.Lan & En.Sham , and of course ODA Committees to make this trip a great success.. !!
This trip, there was some few significant event and new experience for me.For me, I think Long hour of Hiking must be the most significant for this trip.
Day2 - 9hours hike to 7-11 Campsite,
Day 3 - 15hours(8am-10.45pm) hike including way to East West Peak, and descent all the way from peak to car park.
Before this trip, the longest hike I experienced was 12hours, but this time I broke my own record, 15 HOURS !! Not everybody can stand with 15hours of hike especially for first timer like Hai Feng, Kok On, Woon Teen, Pei Yun, Lip Onn, Mok Ying, Siew Moy, and Boon Zhong.
And for first timer, G.Liang East West will be very tough for you as you are still new and inexperienced. But all of you still manage to carried backpack and finally stand on the peak of this mountain, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT !!
During hiking, I believed that Mentality are much more important than physical fitness. If you depend on physical fitness, you will down when you used up all your energy, but If your mentality is strong, eventhough you used up all your energy, you still able to proceed, Every step you move forward, it mean you are a step closer to your
Secondly, during the first night at Sg.Dara campsite, we been told by Arrif that a huge tree was blocked the road. Therefore, we decided to went out and clear the trail so that Arrif can went back to Tapah and Chee Loong's car able to enter to campsite.
Together with Miss Lim, Chian Ni, Puffy, Lan, Sham, Arrif, and Kwang Leong, we spent almost 1hour to clear the trail, and before we leave, we had make sure that Arrif's car and Lee Chee Loong's car are able to pass the place.
From this incident, I had learned something from 3 of them(Lan, Sham, and Arrif). For example, which part of the tree we should cut to reduced our work and make sure cars can pass through it, what should we aware of, and etc. Not only during hiking activities, in other activities oso, I felt that is good to work together with experienced as we able to learn new skills from them and improve ourselves.
G.Liang East West Expedition, My first Trip Leader in year 2010. It had been a long time I never been Trip Leader, a lot of things which are trip leader task I may not performed well. Thanks to ODA Advisor, Miss Lim Kwee Hoon for guiding me prior expedition(when we planning for the trip), during expedition and after expedition. During trip, we always make joke of whoever founded ODA is a genius, but I always think this is true..(Lao shi, agree ??haha)
Next, Thanks to Asst.Trip Leader, Ang Chian Nii, who also helped me a lot prior expedition (although she having her final exam during that period), during and after expedition.
Besides that, I will like to thanks all ODA Committees, Pang, Bee Suan, Jimmy,Monica , Fuyaw, Gah Gee, MR for all your mentality support and physically support..THANK YOU !!
Last but not least, once again thank you to Chee Loong, Harry, Hui Sim, Yu Kwang Leong, Kok Onn, Hai Feng, Lip Onn, Wai Kit, Vivian, Simpson, Alistair, Jonny, Chong Ee, Pei Yun, Hong Jie, Woon Teen, Mok Ying, Siew Moy and Boon Zhong who joined us for this trip and En.Lan, En Sham, and En Arrif for helped out during the trip.
