erm...G.Yong Belar...my 1st G7 Trip, also Pre Tahan Training...
1st day reach Cameron Highlands, so cold, but so excited too!because we are going start our journey into Blue Valley Campsite with 4 by 4 ODA hilux~!we park our car at a place(where 1 couple kissing in car..)haha~...
then..some of us going in first by hilux..i with other members walking in halfway.we over excited..until singing around in cameron highland when 2am.o~o~ you are my flower...haha..
then a police car come to us...but they drive away..scared by us..haha..its funny...
then..hilux coming out..kapchai reverse well with his pro skill..haha..then we reach inside.there had ppl camping around.and that time..only i realise..i had forgotten to bring alot things came in...sry..got an uncle had lend his book to us for sharing his experiences in 4 by4 tracking.
ok next day..we had step on 215 floor to reach dam.then we rest a while and took photo.then..start liao..the tough journey.between the 2 hours going in camp botak.is so suffering.the plants had hurt all of us and the path was slippery.when going up to camp botak.i had fall down twice.1st time.wanted act hero go from other way but fall.haha..second time.my stupid bottle drop down..sob..then we continue walk in.and really woi...the path of this jugle was totally different with others!!this mountain path is all mug..and is deep inside..whenever we step..we dunno how deep is the mug inside.so some member slow down their speed and test here test there to ensure the step safely.but at last..same become mug ppl.haha..got some walk very fast...got some walk very slow..so..ah pang and laoshi had become sweeper and giving support to some member.soon we reach camp periuk and had lunch break.before reach camp periuk.i had worried.cause my leg had start cramp liao..in the lunch time..there is raining..we work together to put up the flysheet so that we can enjoy our lunch.then..we continue our journey to camp kasut..between the few hours..happening alot things..my leg beh tahan liao..cramp down..cant walk..until delay some members speed.sorry for this..and thx mr..for urut urut..haha..chee long good lor..can take the time to rest..and thx laoshi and ah pang also..for urs remind.ODA wont had people leg cramp...only own mentality thinking will make urself leg cramp..this is right..and i saw ls shoes broke..also can walk so fast...soon i like wake up..start from tat time.i not only can speed up..i still can like before..talk here talk there..until mr beh tahan..haha..(i wil rmb the leg cramp..that time mr keep helping me..and the advise from ls..had become support for me)since that time..i had think how tough is yong belar i also can walk finish like before trip.then..fy and kapchai come back and help us..kapchai..u too kind liao..we meet andy them..ABS inside..i shock dao..she improve alot..i rmb the 1st time she climb..keep need to rest..now..can fly liao..haha..and then..we continue journey lagi..whenever we reach a peak..we will take a rest and see the view..and see fashion show also..haha..we reach the last open area..we stop and rest..and at there...we separate to 2 groups..men go take water..gals put up flysheet when reach camp kasut..the way to camp kasut...dunno y..is so long time to go..until erica and agnes keep ask...when reach?stil got how long to go?><"i think everybody also EL tat time..soon we reach camp kasut..andy as senior..bring us down to the river to take water...me ss and andy..who reach first...take a pee beside...haha..and then wash shoes....wash wash...only fill water...when take up the water to top...we had show teamwork together again..hope this teamwork will keep forever..we pass the bottle 1 by 1 with 1 ppl standing in 1 position.pity is..we just wash clean..but we get dirty back..lol.. then..we decided to stay at camp kasut and next day early morning only chiong peak.we prepare our dinner quickly cause the weather is starting cold.going to rain..laoshi cook fried rice with salt fish..number 1..the best!is so delicious...my group all eat till smile..haha..then we set up dome..when going to set another dome..rain started..group 2 still eating..we all had hide in a dome..haha..9 ppl in a dome..can imagine?then we sharing our story in dome..and geting warm inside also..after rain stop..i fuyaw kapchai and chee long set up dome again...erica...very gou li...wanted to sleep..but dun dare sleep alone..wanted to toilet..but dun dare toilet alone...haha..u should learn alone liao...then..me,ss,andy,mr sleep in 1 dome..i set the alarm clock morning 5.15am.but..i change the songs..coz i scare laoshi heard going to OHAIYO~!~OHAAAIIYOOO~~~..bt at last..ls same ohaiyo!!haha...next day..early in the morning,some of comittee stay to prepare breakfast and down dome..n some had went to peak..morning is so cold..we taking a torchlight and cont our journey to peak.when going reach peak..fy bluff us =.=reach le reach le...then...stil have long way go..haha..we late a bit..so cant see the sun rise...but nvm..the peak view..G7 peak view really bo xiang...so nice...beautiful..then we took photo there...we"endao"always stand behind..haha..right andy??then pk keep help us took photo..ask her took..she said..i took alot liao...abs pula..sit beside on a big rock..eating pringles quietly..haha..and..chee long..thx for ur snacks..lol..all ppl are happy with ur snacks..then..i go for "big" when going down..haha..after went back to camp kasut..we fast eat and prepare to go down..then..walk walk walk walk walk..raining...walk walk walk walk walk..reach camp botak..here is the funny story..ls so hard to find a lighter..haha..and that time abs not yet take out the lighter..at last got 1 lighter can light up..so..we go down from botak..that time..i going to fall down from botak coz too slippery..ls..catch my important place..haha..lucky no kena...but thx..then we walk walk walk walk walk walk walk..uuntil a small river..gonna cross..mr accidently fall down..shock us..luckily the begpack enuf big...help him avoid from get hurt..thx for helping us cross river also..then we take a rest..eat some chocolate..all ppl not EL again..then go to next botak...we rest again..coz somebody going to pangsai..haha...at there..haha..ls cant find a lighter..then use the a waterprof fire match..but..same tak boleh..suddenly ABS lighter come out...a quality good lighter...haha..make all of us dunno laugh or angry..then..we reach dam..the step...make all of us feel suffer..after reach blue valle campsite..so nice..those uncle not yet back..they treat us eat...then..we 4 by 4 go out again..me seong wen mr stand behind hilux..waseh..the wind..is so so so cold...mr hold the iron until hand pain..haha..and me..hugging mr..><"wen pula..haha..dun said...then..we back from cameron..to simpang pulai..have dinner..very exp dinner..but very not nice dinner..hearing aunty uncle sing song..hokkien gua..very gouu li..lucky got oda sing..haha..we say goodbye at there with all member.. emm..this trip although i had did alot wrong..but i will learn from that..and..had more teamworks among us..hehe..talk more with mr..close more..hope to keep that..nice experience..hope to see u all in G.nuang again..hehe..2 april deadline lor...if wanted go faster tell eh..nitex~very tired..1am..><"i like typing a story =.=..just review back lor...the trip had alot sweet memories..

2009 1st Pre-Tahan Training - Yong Belar
30 hours left ODA is on move again. This trip is ODA 2009 1st Pre- Tahan Training at Gunung Yong Belar, 7156ft' ; 3rd highest in Penisular Malaysia. There will be 17 members attempting Yong Belar. All type of proper preparation and training is undergoing for the past 3 weeks- Daily hill trekking, light weight lifting, swimming, cycling have been going on among the trip members. Some anxiety occurred among the members as weather has been unpredictable lately, with the pre trip preparation and supports given by all ODA friends, ODA is confident that the ONE and ONLY Yong Belar GOAL will be accomplished :-

After Yong Belar Expedition, on April 17th, ODA will visit Gunung Nuang as 2nd Pre-Tahan Training, follow by 3rd Pre-Tahan Training on April 30th - May 3rd at Gunung Batu Puteh.

Although is stated as Pre Tahan Training, but its open to any who is interested to these mountains with limited seats. May 16th - May 25th, ODA will be at Penisular Highest Mountain Gunung Tahan via Kuala Tahan.

ODA 2007 Gunung Tahan PeakODA 2009 Pre-Tahan Training is less than 2 months, is the shortest training period compare with previous 2 Gunung Tahan Expeditions (2006 -Five months training & 2007 - Three months training).
The reason is because timing is critical due to 2009 ODA tight schedule. 2 weeks before Taman Negara, ODA had conducted Gunung Datuk, follow by Taman Negara - which had taken lots of ODA times on the preparation stage. As it is always a hectic and chaos trip due to overwhelming response/large group. Based on past 2 Taman Negara trip experiences, all ODA knows that 2009 Taman Negara need to do better and need to be done more in preparation than previously. End result, ODA only able satisfied 90% of all members in the trip. Anyway Thanks to all of the contributors' feedback posted in ODA blog concerning about Tmn Negara trip. ODA feels grateful and feels rewarded that majority of the participants enjoyed the trip either expressed via email, blog, sms or face to face to ODA committees; in the mean time, ODA is pitiful that some couldn't find their ways to enjoy the trip as others. Hope next time will be better and ODA will strive to 100% satisfaction.

Taman Negara Feedback!
Hi all,
This is my forth time joining ODA expedition trip. My overall feeling for this trip was so so, not so good, the main factor that gave me this feeling, undoubtedly, because of too many participants - making me felt like staying no different in KL. Frankly speaking, joining ODA expedition trip is always my excuse to stay away from congested traffic, people, work, internet, polluted air... You know, sometimes I do need fresh air, green trees, quiet/peace place and the forest needless to argue is the only option I have :)
In response to AhSia's feedback, I'm agreed with him. Well, no one expected we had "storm", no one expected we had water supply problem, so these points SHOULD not be taken as "excuses" or "bullets" bringing into debate table. In my humble opinion, I think it is very good to have a healthy discussion over the feedback (bad or good), so we all can learn & gain something from it though it may trap people into battlefield :) So, no machine gun (e.g M240), just flower please!
If you asked me "Will I join ODA again?", my answer is "certainly". There are many nice guys/girls in the ODA committees, some of them impressed me a lot when I knew that they could organize things/people nicely at such young age. When I recall back my memory, it is kind of shame to tell you guys that when I was at their age, I was doing evil thing such as fighting, motor racing etc all kind of very shady shxt things. So, I think ODA is really a good platform for them to train themselves over how to deal/manage people, after all, life is all about how to deal/manage people. Is not it?
Last but no least, I hope ODA continues become the first choice for people experiencing the wilderness. Cheers!

Feedback - Tmn Negara Trip
Hihi, I’m Group 7 member S@lly. I’m first time join ODA for this Taman Negara trip on 7th – 9th March 2009.My group leader Hui Wen is a young n active girl.She singing so sweet… All member is friendly…
i also agree wat AhSia wrote...
At the first night we go for our dinner, we sit in the restaurant but no ppl come to take order…we wait about 20minutes…so angry…actually is no water so many restaurant cant cook. After a few minutes, a ODA committee come to ask us who 1 go out eat can follow them. Most of the ppl all follow him go back. When we waiting for arrange car to go out, suddenly raining heavy. All were waiting for our “ta pao” from outside, waiting until me go in the room sleep liao. hahahah…at that night all activities cancelled change to 2nd day. Want shower also cant so bad day...
At second day, we go Ear Cave. Go inside all is water… cham… when go out from Ear Cave, all become wet shoe… I got take 1 Bat photo… heheheh…
After lunch we go canopy walk…long long canopy walk, got little bit scare…
Rapid shooting best, all participants so happy…
Tmn Negara slide show watch until 1 sleep… so tired…
Night walk js walking nothing to see… no animals… all sleep liao… hahahah…
I’m enjoy in night activity-karaoke…
I think our group is a funny group in this session… “tuo diao”
I’m happy got ppl teach us dance “U is my flower”… nice song…
This “U is my flower” song, our group Simpson Lee changed it to Hakka song… urs got listen it ??? nice oso…
At 3rd day, go Teresek Hill walk n walk n walk… very tired…
After lunch we all check out n when back to TARC…

发现开始大家都erm...所以我也嗯了。
嗯，因为"阿姨"说要写才能拿所以就来了。本来我还不知道怎么进来，你们没有给我邀请么。"阿姨"说可以写中文那就好了，简单很多。。我说的"阿姨"是bee suan美钻哦。感觉说了很多前序都还没有进入正题，抱歉哦我在网上比在现实差满多的哦。网上说比较多。来写一个短短的回馈意见好了。懒惰了。。。
I, Jeanny Sim, Group 7 member. This is my 1st time join ODA. And be4 it I din hv any experience on this kind of trip. All is new for me. Thanks for Group 7 leader, Huay Woon, feel nice and sweetie gal. Hahaha... Agree to Sally writing in feedback. She sing song really sweet.
1st day - 到了全部没有一个认识的有点不好意思呢。到了安排好了，想去吃了结果什么都没有吃到就回去了。。。最后还是下起雨了，晚餐就酱没了。因为没有房间钥匙也进不去就在外面做着吃些零嘴。看着对面的他们煮东西唱k跳舞可是没什么联系就是了。最后进到房间已经是11点多了，打包也回来了可是已经饿到不饿了。没什么胃口也吃不完，吃了点点就去睡觉了。没什么的第一天。。。
2nd day-7:30am just woke up still don hv water, no choose use mineral water to brush tooth n wash face. After breakfast gone "gua teliga" (dunno correct or not)嗯，也是我的第一次什么都没玩过paiseh呢。很不错的经验对我来说是新鲜的。只是在进来之前滑了一跤，还好没有跌到不然就真的是危险了。我的鞋子就没那么幸运了竟然开嘴巴了。午餐过后就去canopy walk应该是叫独木桥吧。中间聊天认识了一些人。。。可是最后玩水弄伤了。不过回去冲凉煮晚餐就什么都忘记了。我记得快忘记更快。Tmn Negara slide Show the air-con so comfortable nice to sleep... 3rd- I want say sorry to yours all cos me be late. 因为这是我第一次走山，我从中学就开始就被开恩不用运动的了。这个时期刚好血糖低，谢谢那个姐姐给我巧克力吃（吃完了哦。paiseh）也谢谢你们给我加油哦。。。回到去吃了就收拾回家了。在回家之前来了个大合照。
在最后回到家已经11点了。。到家进了房间就到下去睡了。
Finally, writing my feeling. 很难得的经验，不会不开心也没有后悔至少我都有参与到全部。不浪费，我珍惜，所以拥有这份的难得。谢谢你们给我那么难得的回忆。我会记得“朋友”这首歌的。希望还会看到你们大家。
这个感觉因为珍惜所以拥有，回忆的永恒让我铭记在心绕。当忆起在心头，那份感动久久不散。感谢生命里有过一段那样的美好。

3rd- I want say sorry to yours all cos me be late. 因为这是我第一次走山，我从中学就开始就被开恩不用运动的了。这个时期刚好血糖低，谢谢那个姐姐给我巧克力吃（吃完了哦。paiseh）也谢谢你们给我加油哦。。。回到去吃了就收拾回家了。在回家之前来了个大合照。
在最后回到家已经11点了。。到家进了房间就到下去睡了。
Finally, writing my feeling. 很难得的经验，不会不开心也没有后悔至少我都有参与到全部。不浪费，我珍惜，所以拥有这份的难得。谢谢你们给我那么难得的回忆。我会记得“朋友”这首歌的。希望还会看到你们大家。
这个感觉因为珍惜所以拥有，回忆的永恒让我铭记在心绕。当忆起在心头，那份感动久久不散。感谢生命里有过一段那样的美好。

This jorney to Gunung Datuk make me alot of fun n experience i never have...very enjoy...^=^ ...many 1st time there, valentine there,lau sang there,camping ,learn how to pack thing..>> wow<<>> hahah ^-^ .... i not so talkative person so not much know many member name hehe^^ .. some more that time, we play game time i fill very sleepy +@+

i should say sorry to every ODA committee...

A Dismay Taman NEgara trip wit ODA
Hi all... I am AhSia here... here i am writing another blog about ODA's trip which i have been a loyal supporter all this while. This time this is Taman negara trip on
7th to 9th March 2009 last week.
This blog will be a bit negative so i hope readers will be matured and understanding enough to take my blog ranting as my personal point of view. No bias to whoever whatsoever. So i would like to apologize to those who i may not knowingly 'hurt' them thru this blog of mine.
First of all... this is my 3rd Taman Negara trip wit ODA...And It was a disastrous 1st night as it rains damn heavily!!!! The day before they(Taman NEgara) have flood so all clean water is disrupted and thus... we face difficulties to eat as most of the stalls dun have enough clean water to cook. And the situation become worse when we got around 60 - 70 participants who are hungry.... and here is the 1st point of my ranting....(jus my point of view....)
-A big group of us.... 50 something participants are waiting eagerly inside one of the restaurant terapung waiting for dinner when suddenly ODA committee says 'later we will drive car out to eat.. who wan follow?"
All hell break loose as more than 40 people follow ODA back. Only my gang and Gabrielle gang( 9 or 10 people) guai guai sit inside the restaurant waiting for the very salty dishes.
- Without any warning... torrential rains start to pour down... and we of coz feel glad cos we make a wise decision to stay in the restaurant while the 40 people who follow ODA may get caught in the rain.
-After one and half hour... we have our salty dinner... we run back to our campsite and i was shocked when i found out that the 40 participants who were wit us earlier still haven eaten yet outside the girls' dorm.
- During that time....ODA committee were singing karaoke and 'goreng' french fries, drumsticks, chit chatting happily away.... Oblivious to the state of participants... that incident really minus a lot of points for ODA
- only FuYaw and Ee Jin were talking to participants trying to lift up their mood.
- ODA is under a big pondok..... most of the participants were crammed in front of the girls' dormitory either standing or sitting. Some of the participants doesn't even know whether got people tapau dinner or not....
- When we enquire from ODA whether we participants can hang out in the pondok together wit ODA as it is wet and crammy.... we were given the cold shoulder("What For???"....
2nd point of view
- ODA seems to treat the bunch of Singaporeans better than the rest of the participants.. on the 2nd day we(room 10, 11 and 12 ) wan to went back to guys dorm which was 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk away to get our kitchen utensils for cooking. we wan to borrow the Van... ODa says no need... jus borrow others utensil to eat. Fine wit us... Suddenly....
When Connie(one of the singaporeans) and her fren wan to go bath in our guys DOrm(the 5 mins drive away)...
they were given the green light to go and A CAR....
-Special service for them? Beside the girls dorm there are public bathrooms... all of the gals uses those but why they can go to the guys dorm for their bath?
-I dare to say that most of the particpant dunno the names of the Singaporeans... they never take part in group breakfast or lunch(they tapau outside) they never take part in karaoke(sleep in the room oledi) they do group activity among themselves.... not wit their other group members...
And ODA's vision is to foster togetherness between the participants.... Only we can sense the presence of AAron.. the rest.... dunno
3rd Point of view...
The drive car back from Taman Negara...
Ricky's car, kent's car and Zhi Hong's car...
we are the 3 last car to come out of Taman Negara and we were whistling along when suddenly we were informed that we already drive the wrong direction...
after we drive more than half an hour towards the KL direction.
no one informed us which way to go earlier... so normally we drive back the route we took when we came taman negara. Half an hour is a precious commodity... ODa need to be more informative with their plans.....
Jus my suggestion to ODA..
1) pLs mingle more with participants during trips....you are creating a gap between ODA and particpants....
2) Pls be more sensitive towards participants needs..
3) No double standards...... We are not G**Ern**t who favours M**lims more(my point of view from my politic standard... later kena sue)...
4) pls revise the price for future oDA trips or maybe... maybe you can practise transparency on the pricing.......
Anyway... My purpose coming to this trip is to let my girlfren and her bro to see the nature, surroundings and also... ODA.
And sadly to say... they have the same sentiments as me... and i know that some of the participants feel the same way too...
Anyway... no hard feelings towards me ODA...
jus my point of view towards you all oni...
there is still room for improvement...
