Hi everyone, hope all of you are doing fine. First of all i would like to thank ODA for giving me this chance to become Gunung Irau trip leader. Its another good experience that provides me opportunity to improve myself. Hope all of you gain something in this trip either in friendship or self improvement/development. Besides that, i would like to thank LFY for the teaching and guidance. 有你才有我们...。One sentence from Laosi that i'm still using till now is
"Let our heart be as wide as Gedung View" that keep me going whenever encounter with difficult situations. Besides that i would like to thank Gah Gee, Andy, Sian Seong, Bee Suan,Chian Ni and Pooi Kuan for all of your support in making this trip a succesfull one. Also not forgetting Ah Pang from UK with her wishes. I know "thank" is a forbidden word in ODA, but still want to say that i am glad to have you all !!! Really can't express the feeling with words. Only one way to show it --PAY IT FORWARD.
Also, thanks to Gunung Irau participants in joining this trip. Your presence makes this trip an interesting and exciting one. Most of you are first timers mountain hiking with ODA, hope all of you enjoy the first climb with us. And may this friendship build will last a very very long time.
After long break from hiking after Gunung Tahan, the anxiety of hiking getting stronger and stronger when approaching Gunung Irau trip. Feels like missing something after long break from hiking...Looking forward for this trip........Gunung Irau trip turns out to be an interesting and exciting trip...i guess we really miss hiking alot......
after all this while im still making mistakes during planning/trip...Such as left groundsheet at home, forgotten car list, bought the wrong bread and milo rationing....wrong judgement at peak....really still have alot to do and much more improvement to be made. I believe i will master all of this in the future and become a true ODA trip leader. In life, we never stops learning. No matter how far or how high a mountain that we have climbed, we still have to come back down and start from below.
Preparing this trip takes some time and work, but after seeing most of us enjoying this trip, it is worth it!!!!!..at the end of the day, our goal is just to share our hiking passion with all of you...
It is not the destination or ending that matters the most, sometimes it is the climb, the process, the journey that makes something meaningful. Now i am learning to apply what we have learned from hiking into our lifes. --The perseverance, determination and let our heart become as wide as gedung view, pay in forward and the way in doing things. Whatever things that happens just smile...everything will be fine....
That's all for now, hope to see you soon. In the mean time, take care !!!!!!
