Gunung Ledang Trip

Hi there, hope everyone is fine.

I always waiting to revisit this mountain who renown for its mysterious but for me, this mountain always giving me some special feeling and experience, special thanx to all the ODA committees

for organising this trip, especially trip leader,Fu Yaw, it is not easy to organise a trip in short time especially when u all juz back from tahan trip, hmm, but that's prove that nothing can stop a real mountain climber. Recalling to a photo i shot during the previous trip in Gunung Ledang,

which says" Real climbers are drives by SELF-ACTUALISATION NEEDS, only climber live their live fully. They want to experience life to the fullest as much as they can. To them what's most important is [IT'S THE JOURNEY, NOT THE DESTINATION]".
I believe, after this trip, u all have experience the most and will always be strong and moving forward.

Ms.Lim, ur passion in mountain climbing activity really gain my respect. Although U've changed alot in the way u communicate to others, but, something remain the same.

The last time we were here was on October 2005, 4 year passes, many thing has changed, especially the trail, we not manage to pass-by the beautiful waterfall. For me this time, the trail on the way to the peak and going down to campsite really challenging and i got cramp in both of my leg, that's a sign for me that my physical fitness has dropped compared to previous trip.

One thing need to take note is that we don't have "heavy" enough breakfast before we start our journey to the peak as the expected duration to the peak will take 6 hours. We have to depends on the self-bring chocs, raisin.

First, we have to walk pass a long staircase. This trail is so hard and tiring as our "engine" is not hot enough. If not mistaken, there are 8 checkpoint to reach to peak. The most challenging part is where we have to climb up the giant stone using rope. I have some difficulties in this part as my backpack is really heavy, but determination and believe pushes us to complete the challenge. Penny, nothing is impossible, i m glad that u didn't listen to another guide who ask u to change another way to climb up the giant stone, i m happy that u manage to make it, i can c ur determination. this is the precious thing that we can learn from mountain climbing. Gambateh!!

At last everyone manage to reach the peak, yeah! Our motivation to reach the peak? haha...i think is the "maggi mee". everyone is hungry and tired, only maggi mee can save us. Haha. I remember when we reach the peak, we have a photo shot that everyone is trying to be "representative" of specific brands. Ashley is representing "Milo". Jason is the "Red Bull". There is other brand like panasonic, clear shampoo...haha.

The journey going down to the campsite is not east too...it is really tiring especially the last CP staircase, our leg juz like gonna break off, no more feeling. But anyway, everyone manage to reach the campsite safely.

In summary,
- tq chiann nii, u r doin good job as group leader, sorry din help u much during cooking hours.
- miss lim, dun have much time n opportunity to talk to u..hopefully next trip there will be a chance.
- tq chee loong, and other driver, while u all driving, we the passenger is busy sleeping.
- i suggest next time when we in the highway, our car will be stay and move together in group. that will reduce down the chances of accident.
- ashley, at last we manage to make our promise become true, we manage to visit this mountain together, and i m happy with the conversation...
- hmm...untill next trip! c u soon.

Henry, good to have you in the trip again.
I didn't expect the guide not bringing visitor to the waterfalls anymore.... too bad. We will see what we can do....
Something remain the same ... hahaha. That's the identity, cant change it.
Communicate differently, hope it gets better.
