Gunung Ulu Sepat Expedition 2009

Completed Ulu Sepat marks the final trip of ODA in the year 2009 which also marks the final G7 mountain of ODA... i would like to thank and appreciate all of everyone that direct or indirectly assist us in completing this mission. In life, completing a feat/goal/achievement does not represent a person's greatness or ability, but represents the team/group behind that gives unconditionally supports.

Before this trip started, we encounter an obstacle. That is regarding the guide issues to Ulu Sepat that we manage to overcome it. If we set our mind to complete something, no matter what happen we will overcome it -- or at least we tried our best to do it. Special thanks to Ah Meng that help us alot and also Hussein that we have never met during the whole trip.

Some say Ulu Sepat is the easiest G7 of the 7......for me each mountain has its own difficulty. For this trip is long hours of driving+2 hours of boat ride(plus raining and wind) +plus 30minutes of 4wd (havent included the time we stuck in the mud)+ lots of agas (Luckily our guide is good at fire). When our 4wd got stuck in the mud, makes me recall back previous trip that we have a ride on 4wd. ( G.Chamah - Teh tarik and mud , G.Yong Yap - Muddy Mud, G.Yong Belar - Muddy trail at Vegetable farm).

When we are about to reach kota kemuning back from Ulu Sepat, laushi ask who is the person that i miss most on hiking(not including her as she is in the list)--- in my mind is Miing Rueng and Andy or can say is 2009 Tahan Team. Really hope one day we will be able to hike together once again...or best is we could gather all ODA to one trip and have a great time hiking together....

Lastly, what do you feel after completed G7?? ----actually i also do not know how to answer..haha...but i think that completing G7 is not one mans power...really depends on teamwork and who we go with. Most important is the journey and not the destination...And the same rules apply, after reaching the peak we have to come back down and start anew again. There is a saying that we need to do 21 times in order to make a thing as a habit(21 times complete G7?? or 21 times to G7 mountain or 21 time hiking ???---haha.....) ...Really learned a lot from G7 and what have learn is just the tip of iceberg...there are still alot of mountain other than G7 that we could learn from...

Thanks to Ah Pang for organizing this trip and laushi it is an honor to have completed your final G7 with you. Who we go with is more important than where we go to. Maybe all these years you are waiting for the right person and timing to finish G7. For sure i will not be able to do it without ODA . i Will come back to these mountain again....after all our goal is to share our passion and to share what we have learn.....Thats all for now...see you soon and dont forget to join us in 2010!!! Cheers!!
