Congratulation to all members who accomplished G7- Gunung Yong Yap 2008!
ODA, We have make it happen!
Lao Si, Fu Yaw, Chian Nii, CS, MR, ND, Pooi Kuan all of you had create another history in ODA!
Memory of G7:
1st G7 - Gunung Tahan 2006 & 2007
2nd G7- Gunung Yong belar 2007& 2008
3rd G7- Gunung Chamah 2008
4rd G7- Gunung Yong Yap 2008
Gunung Yong Yap is my fourth G7 to visit, if you asked me how is the trip? I will considered it is tough. But all toughest feeling gone through when i know i went to ODA members and the great people around!
Friends always asked me, what you so enjoy about mountain climbing activity? Not tired? Not Boring?? I will tell them, it is need to depends who you are going with. The person you followed, he or she will influence how you think of Moutain Climbing activity. Some people close book after when to Gunung Tahan and G7. It is immature, they think they are conquer all the mountain, actually no one can conquer the Mother Nature.
If they really have learned the true meaning of Outdoor activity, especially Mountain Climbing activity they will not to quit or closed book which is something they are passion and love. What we learned on outdoor activity is not whether how many mountain i had achieve, how high i had reached, how proud when i stand on the Peak. It is something regarding our self discipline, self determination, appreciate the people around us, team efforts, self study or working.
Mountain Climbing activity is a unseen activity to guided us become a hamble person. How to say it? It is because no matter how many times we visit to the mountain, its never know and records on our name. The Mountain will never know who you are eventhough you are famous or CEO of the company!
All these 3 years in ODA, i am lucky to get a chance to know ODA and know some greatest climbers in Malaysia. They are all LOW PROFILE!!! When I am visit their blog or and website, their content are all in sharing their experience rather than published how many mountain they conquer! In their dictionary, they is not such words of "conquering", but all is about "sharing"
In ODA, we are glad enough to have Lao Si as our great role model. Recently, she had start to write blog and shared with all people her experience in outdoor activity. However, i didn't saw her published how many mountain she had went eventhough she had 16 years experiences with Mountain Climbing and outdoor activity. More than hundreds of trip she had participate included Highest Mountain in Peninsula, Highest Mountain in South East Asia, Malaysia - G7 and others country Mountains!
When i meet with her Mountain Climbing friends at Perak. (Lan, Hasnor, Jupil, Batman, Arif, Asli, Anthony) they are all very hamble and that kind of people always appreciate. This is really make me realized that, what is called as "True Mountain Climbers". They not even mentined what mountain they have went, or show off who they are. But, they are shared with me their experience, teached us on the survival skills all the times when have chance to meet up.
Some people claims themselves as "True Mountain Climbers" in his or her blog, honestly i really feel sorry to them. I only can say they are immature and i hope one day they can truly understand what is Mountain Climbing activity and mountain climbers.
Yong Yap trip had really bring all of us in closer with each others again. We hand in hand pass through all the rivers crossing, Lodging area to make sure everyone are go safety and return back safety as well.
