Hi,how's everybody ? Hope everyone is doing well. First of all ,congratulations to all 8 of us that completed this expedition safely. This is a tough trip - rain , agas , lots of rivers ,and long hours of hiking. Special thanks to all other other committees that help me out during this trip preparations, without you guys, i am sure i cant make it. There are still alot of things for me to learn. What i learn in this trip is no matter how great a person is, there are still parts where there are flaws that need to be perfected. I realized there are still a lot of things for me to learn. Such as----"If you fail to plan , then you plan to fail "
Good Planning+Good Briefing = Good Trip. I nearly miss out that planning part--- Brought sugar instead of salt , forgot to buy cai pu..
Not forgetting to congratulate Pooi Kuan , who is ODA first G7 participants and 1st particpant to climb G7 with ODAs.cheers!! You showed strong determination and spirit. Hope u would not give up on hiking after this trip ya. Haha....... First i was afraid as we have a lot of river crossings - more than 45 river crossings in and out of Yong Yap, as i learned how to cross it , it is not as bad as i think. Just need to be careful and help each other.
Teamwork makes this trip successful....
Camp Taha famous for its Agas--lots of it...and to make things worse, we have a G that do not know how to set up fire haha...so some of us end up with ' flowery' legs. Mine as well become flowery leg and hands. ..On the way up to peak on Day 3 , it rained for the last few hours before reaching peak..the weather was cold, very cold...Peak View is erm...nice..but covered by cloud..haha..actually i am looking forward for peak view..but this time not so lucky..maybe next time i'll come again. This makes me think of that what is most important is not the destination , it is the journey that makes it meaningful...the most precious thing that we get from this trip is friendship and fellowship..under the most harsh conditions we helped each other out. This is also the first time i encouter that much muddy trails along the way to peak.
This trip quite special as usually we will back to KL after come out from mountains , instead we rest a day at Cameron , and make a simple day trip on the next day. On 27th night , Cameron was pack with peoples , all hotels inns are full. So after visiting Pasar Malam at Brinchang ,we decided to rest in car with 'golfview'...packed some suppers and drinks ....we hang out-- till 3am. We went to Gunung Brinchang the next day, Boh Tea plantations then to Ipoh for yong tau fu. After that then we head back for KL.
Alot of meaningful , funny events during this whole trip that makes this trip so special that worth remembering. It was a fun and enjoyable but challenging trip..hope the next trip we have more chance to hike together. I always believe that the place/destination are not important , the most important thing is who we go with to the place/destination because it is everyone in it that makes it enjoyable and meaningful. Take care and see you the next trip!!
Cheers!!
Fuyaw.
