2010 ODA First Open Trip

It is been 5 years ODA formed up with ONE Advisor + Committeesssss to organized Mountain Climbing Activity and proud to say we have over 1000+ members to join us over these few years. Every year when we planned our half year activity schedule,we will categorized Gunung Datuk as one of the Mountain we must visit. Some people are asking, why you all want to repeat visiting the same Mountain?Do you all feel bored? We will answer that :"Ofcourse we won't feel bored"! Even though we visiting same Mountain, however there are different kind of people to join us.we can know different people who are from different background. Everyone heart to heart to shared with each others their work,religion,hobby,relationship and so on. We believe that those who are joining Mountain Climbing activity, they have a good heart.

To 2010 ODA First Open trip-Gunung Datuk participants, I am feel glad that to know all of you.I believe we have some certain faith to grab 24 of us come Gunung Datuk on Jan30. After trip most of the participants are personal SMS and Email us to us say thank you for organized a outdoor trip for them.This is the most happy moment,bacause we know that majority of person have the good heart to appreciate people hard work.They understand to organized a outdoor trip to a people we totally not know and understand their personality is not a easy work.However,they said :"we did it"!!!From before the trip,during the trip and after the trip, they are alot of preparation and consideration we need to think properly, because it is involve outdoor activity and they are some safety purpose we need to take responsibility to look after as well.Thanks for them who are concern and support us alot!!!

Gunung Datuk trip,majority are the first timer to join Mountain Climbing trip. For them, will be a challenges trip. Therefore, some of them are showing their black face to others members.Not to smile with others or complain somethings such as alot of insects in dome,cant sleep well at night, very hot etc...This is unfair for others members.But,it is ok, because we understand this is their first time to join outdoor so will be not comfortable for them cause dont have air- conditioner in jungle and dont have a comfortable bed as well.Plus they didnt do training before come for the trip, so will be a exhausted trip for them and affect their feeling in whole trip.Even the sky is blue, they will see the sky is black.All because of what we think can affect to what we see.However, if we turn and look to others surface.We might see the sky is blue.We might see how well of people doing,and appreciate it.I have read a book, it say :" a complain person,they doens't successful, however a person who always appreciate they will success in one day".Never asked why they will success, but see what they do in order to make them success.


Thanks to Puffy and Happy Owner - Ms Lim and Gah Gee who bring their dog come to join our expedition.This is an eye open trip for both dog get along with each other and us.Their kindly and playful character has bring us alot of joy!And most of the Malay hiker are wonders how come both of the different kind of dog can get along.I think all because of tolenrate and acceptance has make the world become peaceful.The Gunung Datuk Malay hikers are capture few pic of owner and dog to post at their personal blog!!!They say :"have the great feeling on both lady bring their dog to Mountain Activity. And name both of the owner - Lady's in Wild!!!

Outdoor Discovery Adventure

My first hiking trip wit ODA at Gunung Datuk !!!

hihi..i'm ern hui..
thanks to ODA for planning tis open trip..it gives me an oppurtunity to join the the trip n let me experience about the hiking 'world'..i didnt know anything bout hiking before this..but after going thru it,i find it quite interesting n fun although it was reli tiring..i mean RELI TIRING..!!!!!!!!!!! =)
the first day was fun..i get to experience the night life in the jungle..it is the first time i bath in waterfall,eat in the jungle n lie on big big rocks wit frens=) it was reli memorable...while the second day were challenging.. v gotta climb 4 2 hours+..i was so afraid tat i would not b able to reach the top at first..i was reli exhausted..but wit other members' support..i manage to reach the top too =) although the whole process was tough n tiring..but once u reach the top n overlook the view.....arhhhhh...u will feel tat all the hardwork is worthy....thanks to all ODA for planning such a wonderful trip..u gave everyone of us a memorable moment except for the soar legs =P..WELL DONE..!!! hope to see u guys again =) c ya...

ODA 2010 First Trip !!

After resting for 1months + , ODA came back with 2010 First Trip to Gunung Datuk !!!

Another awesome trip with the effort of every ODA Committees and participation of every participants. Thanks for ODA committees hardwork for planning the trip and also take good care of participants during the trip.

Beside that , thanks to every participants that joining ODA for this trip. Your participation are truly appreciated !! Glad to see so many first timer joining ODA for this trip, Hope ALL of you are enjoyed the trip !! Usually , first timer who joined ODA G.Datuk trip , will like hiking activities and join ODA in the next trip.

This trip, maybe all participants are first-timer , so a lot of minor problems will came into their mind and being sensitive...If you faced with some problems during trip, you may refer to your group leader or ODA committees immediately, we will helped you to find out the solution for every problems...Hopefully after this trip , you had learnt how to prevent and handle those problems...

This 2 participants are the most active participants in our groups...They are always Battery Full !!! When we reached our campsite , both of them start to be CRAZY !!! Running here and there, playing with each other, playing water, and etc...And because of them , we have a lot of jokes especially when they playing with each others...Both of them really bring us a lot of happiness...Thank you to Puffy and Happy too !!!

Finally, thanks to every committees and participants who contributed their time and energy in carrying out this trip smoothly...Thank you !! See you all in ODA Next Trip !!!

First hike in 2010!!

First hike of the year is always exciting. Feels like it has been a long time dint hike since the last trip of 2009 but actually is only a month ago. Another great trip and safe trip. Everytime visiting Gunung Datuk will always have different feeling. But one thing never change, feels like home(Start to hiking from Datuk Trip). Looking forward to bath at Lubuk Petai. The chill feeling of the water in the hot but humid weather. Plus ah seong bath in Nude.... Fantastic!!!! Hope all of us enjoy the time at Lubuk Petai.

This Datuk trip makes me more realize that what goes around comes around. I play altitude with pets, but Siewkee is afraid of altitude. Haha....At Datuk Peak we met a few grown ups..during the descending from Peak to Campsite. While we are caring our members going down, they ask impolitely "How long you are going to descend, let us come up first la, how long we have to wait". Maybe they really waited a long time + hot sun + time of us going down. But what i would like to express is the tone that ask us. They 'grown ups' have minor heart than us 'the small kids' at the peak.

Happy and Puffy put up a good show. At least what we can see is a pure friendship between them minus the 'attacking' part. And cute they are, happy sad, down, no confidence all are showed out. What we can learn from them are pure and original emotions.

Thanks to ODA Advisor Miss Lim, Siew Ting,Seong and Trip leader Gahgee and committees. Without our effort this trip would not be so smooth. Also thanks to all participant, because of you make this trip a colourful one. Last but not least thanks to my group members for giving me support and cooperation. See you soon!!!! Nice Trip

I am DJ, Overall I feel that the trip was had a lot of fun...especially together with my group member, they really tough , and know a lot of new friends , most from our group .... BY the way , i also can feel that , the organizer seem like lack of sincerity and trip leader seem extra and the fees charge is quite expensive .... but i got some feeling wanna to share..

1) Trip Planning -->i am no idea is this trip well planned?? since it already charge on us, and 90% of the things need to get prepare by our owns.... and we only know the trip schedule after we paid....

2) People---> The ODA`s people not friendly , lack of smile , lack of talking , and keep showing face and make party , not helpful , unconcern to other feeling ,luckily we got our own group members ...

3) Fees---> I got no idea what we pay for....

4) Dog---> This is the most bizarrerie and trouble of this trip, i really cannot stand that dog, it is lack of training and over playfull, and the owner must be very new on feeding a dog ,it was because she really not familiar with her dog and dog temp , characteristic, she fail on ordering her dog, and some of my group member really scare the dog.....

5) Doom---> WTF, doom got bed bugs... could pls check and rent to us next time....

anywhere it is faith to meet u guys ... any offence pls dun bear in mind....

2010 ODA 1st Mountain Trip Kick Off !!!

2010 Jan 30th - Gunung Datuk

After 30 days all of us started our 2010 New Year, 24 Human + 2 Dogs met at Gunung Datuk Expedition. There are many reasons,situation, decision making that brought all of us met in this place and get to know each other. One of the reason is because of ODA, I would like to thanks to all of ODA committees for years of hard work and continuous organizing different mountain expedition for all of us and have created lots of faith for many of us to know each other and become close friends. Thank You - ODA Committees !!!! 

Looking at ODA activities calendar for next 6 months, basically there will be outdoors activity for every month (Gunung Rajah, Gunung Ayam, Gunung Kinabalu, Gunung Irau and Taman Negara). A little bit of  self time management planning efforts, there will be chances for us to meet again in the jungle.    

A quite regretful trip for myself as I didn't have much time space to know most of the new ODA friends, and didn't complete the whole trip with everybody, but I heard that everybody enjoyed the hiking process, have clear Peak view and most importantly - Safe Trip.... This is always something an Adviser wish.

Back home, I heard that Alfred and Siow Qi have high altitude fear, Hopefully after the G. Datuk Peak staircases practice, you know and believe that you can DO IT !!!!

Special Thanks to our trip Pilots - Chee Loong, He Men, Chia, Woei Siang and Boon Ping for sending everyone to our destination and back to KL. I believe our trip pilots have Grade A driving skills cause  everyone was able to sleep well in the car after finish the trip while our trip pilot continue driving on the journey with their soar legs and tired eyes.

Very glad to see ODA friend - Pei San for sharing this good activity with your other friends and had brought along a few good men +  Chor Wan to the trip. Please suggest some good receipi to ODA for coming trip..... you always have great ideas !!!

Finally ODA's brother - Kee Teck appear in ODA's trip plus bringing another 2 fine men to trip..... ODA + your sister been waiting for your presence for years. Hopefully Gunung Datuk trip will create another ODA + You .... same as what your sister had created. 

Very happy to have the chit chat moment with Chu Yee and sharing her story with us till late night. Wonder how you stay awake to climb up all the way to peak and back to ranger office and yet still keeping the fresh look.

Special Thanks to ODA's Girlfriend - Siow Qi and Ern Hui for helping out in before trip equipments checking, preparation and after trip cleanning. Thanks for your tolerance of bearing the boyfriends unable to be specially available for you during trip situation.

At last - Thanks to everyone tolerance on ODA's pets - Ms Puffy ODA Lim + Mr. Happy ODA Low crazy moments. We will make sure they get along better with each other in future.
