Gunung Datuk 2009 Feb 14-15

This is my 2nd times to Gunung Datuk. Definitely this is not as difficult as the 1st time, because no need to carry the backpack..heehe. But i really appreciate to my members , Andy(thanks alot , i think you carry many:p) , khean, tean kok , eng siang and hern choon help to carry the necessary items to peak.

I was assigned to be group leader in this trip. This is my pleasure that i was given this chance by ODA. I would like to say thank you to my members(hern choon, tean kok, khean, eng siang, erica, siao shuang, kun, connie and andy) on all the co-operation that you had given to me. All of your faces and characters are in my memory..
Kianhean very good in take care of other members especialy along the way we descending to ranger office.(actually he take care a lot to someone only...hee:p)
Erica impressed me when i saw her insisted to finish the cup mee rather than throw it though she was full up. But she was impressed by Vivian's speed and skill during descending.haa
Siao Shuang is a tender and beautiful girl
Tean Kok is vivian's housemate and Eng Siang is Tean Kok friend, both are 19 and studying Account??
Connie and Kun are malaysian, they came together from Johor, but they knew each other because of this trip..
Hern Choon....sms me the most about the trip

Gunung Datuk Trip Feedback

Yeah, after almost 2 years absent from mountain climbing, finally i m back. This time is the 2990ft (if not mistaken) Gunung Datuk. there r plenty of mixed feeling after the trip, but i could summarize in one word, "song", means i feel great throughout the trip.
Many of my fren ask me, why would i choose valentine day to mountain climbing instead of accompanying my gf, hmm... i would like to apologize to her n tq for her understanding to let me go participating the trip as i really wait for the trip for so long.
Also, i wanted to tq ODA for organising such a trip, their passion in Outdoor activity really impressed me. Bravo, u all have done a great job! this could be prove by the changes in d committee member, younger, friendly n helpful. Also, this trip is consist of 3 generation? haha, old but energetic retiree from slim river, 3 uncle 1 auntie, mid generation consist of miss lim...young generation consist of 2 part, 80's n 90's. haha.
Summary of the trip?
-i m accompanied by spare tyre, this cause some difficulties for me, my fitness have drop, this give a good reminder for me to start workout to solve it, if not, really tiring!so fren, pls, keep ur body fit!
-great n joyfull trip, why? a group of noisy but easy friendly 90's born young fren, i really like them all, they r clean of "fan nao", enjoying the life.

－Miss lim who speaks chinese, no longer “serious” all the time...hehe...easy to communicate, but just like siew ting said, our english level will drop lo...

－to 捞生 in the mountain is really a good experience, haha, hopefully all the thing we wish will becoming true ya!

－Sad? Yeah, i lost 1 of my favorite shirt, it is a shirt i bought when watching badminton malaysia open in bukit jalil, a light green gray Yonex shirt...

there r lots of other thing i wanna share, but unable to share it on words．

Really enjoying with all of u, hope to c u all in future trips. Tq ODA.

this time it was too many people till i cant remember all the name...


at least i know my group 3 members..




my group 3 leader, ABS(actually this is an honor in M'sia), when i heard it, really funny..ABS stand for Ang Bee Suan in ODA..haha...she is a nice person..haha..just havent take so much time to communicate with her..


other group members, ah sia, the 1 greet me 1st when i arrive at tarc, well known of talkative guy coz he is freelancer.. no choice becoz of his occupation disease..haha..





henry was good in cooking, this trip he was our group 3 cook~ nice guy also..





'ah chan', i forget his real name, so don blame me cal u ah chan, coz u are well known for this name..haha..

hui mei, a gal like china gal called he jie, "hui mei" just like i know u are beautiful..ahaha.. friendly gal hanging around wif her frens then talk no end..


zhi hong, drive wif myvi car..haha, in my impression lar.. help me take my things when trekking in jungle..thanks a lot.. and ah sia also lar..help me take bottles..



xiao bai(sin chan's pet), kai yi and fellow guys, coz we dont contact too much so not so well about u guys lo..sorry ya...


remember on the 1st day nite after having dinner, most of ppl bathing at the waterfall there...playing happily..enjoying laughing..that's the great time...unfortunely, i din go for it, jus look at them beside.. i swear next time i will bath.. haha..


that nite, i slept early..may be i am too silent...more likely i dint bring frens go.. so i am like lone ranger..><


the 2nd day going to the peak...again the slope was full of roots...omg... i scare that.. but lastly i conquer it also...


going for adventure is my interest just like i know it will be challenging, so i will confront it..


this trip there are frens from singapore, p.penang, johor, of coz me, from sarawak joined.. it was indeed a large group..sincerely, i don like large group..coz cant recognize so many ppl only in 2 days..but all was happy for it, it's worth for that..


thanks for ODA to let me know all of u and the committees, they are so friendly and helpful, even there are somemore were younger than me who likes adventure.. i really open an eye this time..







hope to have next trip again with u guys..lastly, nice to meet u all, make my life more colourful!!

Gunung Datuk 2nd Exp....

My 2^nd Gunung Datuk trip after 2 years time…. Can still vividly remember my first Gunung Datuk trip… so funny and ‘cham cham’ experience. Wahahahaha…

For this 2^nd trip…. I enjoyed it very much. As usual before the trip I dun make any preparations… only on the night before the big day I started to ta pau my things. Result???

I never bring my sleeping bag and my sleeping mat for the trip…. I already put it beside my bag but I dunno how on earth I can forget to see it. Lolz… but no worries…. I enjoy outdoors as much as ODA did. Hehe…

Henry, ah Heong, Jin Xuan, Zhi Hong, Hui Mei, Xiao Bai, Kai Yi,(all the names I cannot guarantee is the right spelling) plus me is the participants for Group 3… under the guidance of ABS.

On the first day… I went to the gather place a bit tooooo early. 2pm gather I reach at 1.17pm. Cham,,,

After that… I was assigned to be on the car wit a bunch of uncles and one auntie who turned to be nice people and funny also. Mr Lim, Ms Sim, mr Hoo Kow and Mr Chee Sim. Althought they kept to themselves most of the time during our camp but still… they are good people.

Going international already ODA…. From Singapore is Connie, Ah Kang, Ah Fa, Raymond and Aaron. From Jb is lanky Hwee Jun. and the rest….Erica, xiao Shuang, 20, siew ching, zhi hang, Mr sexy onn Kee(nice pants), and the rest…. The atmosphere and feeling from this camp is great and got sense of togetherness. The games are good…. Most of the participants are friendly…. Girls are pretty enough…. Haha…

There is one thing I can only think of when we reach the campsite on Gunung Datuk…

I am not 2^nd last anymore. Wahahahaha!!!!

I improved my time compared to my first trip….

Human can either do to things… either improve to become better or stay in the past not moving at all(get stuck in time)

Datuk Trip on Valentine Day

After one and a half month, ODA first trip on year 2009 finally reach… Before the trip, there are lots of things that I think of. After so long didn’t have trip, I am wondering whether my stamina is ok with the trip. I also headache with the ice breaking program which is me and Yee Jin’s task during this trip… But I told myself that don’t think so much lah, I can overcome it!!!

Firstly, I wish to say sorry to Chee Shen, Shiau Shuang, You Sheng and Hern Choon. This is because while on the way to Rembau, my car’s air-cond got some problem, plus the weather is very hot, make you all feel very hot in my car. And also sorry to all the members for waiting I so long nearby the toll there because of me didn’t study correct route to there.

Except for the uncle and aunty who have their own dinner themselves, I think all others of my group members having fun while cooking for our dinner. Chun Long who is first time experience cooking, Chu Hang who like to add many water and oil while cooking, Siew Kim who is pure vegetarian but still instruct us on how to cook, me and Yee Jin busybody helping this and that…Bathing session is another fun time!!! This is the first time I saw so many participants bathing together and having fun together. While ice breaking program, I wish to thanks everybody for being co-operate. And also thanks to advisor and ODA committees, especially Siew Ting helping me conducts the program.

The second day, after having breakfast, when we want to depart to Gunung Datuk, only i realized that my camera lost. Thanks for everybody helping me search for the camera. All the way up to the peak, I am having fun by listening to you sheng, hoi yen and Heng Choon’s conversation. After all having lunch, we proceed to the peak. Same place, same view but different people.

At last, I am very happy to meet all of you in this trip. I am very enjoy hiking with you all. Thanks to all of you for supporting ODA. Those of you are coming from Perak, Seremban, Penang,KL and even Singapore, this trip link us together and I hope we will meet again in the coming trip. You all leave a memorable part in my life. Thank you!!
